Evacuation In Indonesia

(Rec. 2.30 p.m.) BATAVIA, Feb. 23. About 29,000 Republican combatants have now been evacuated from Dutch-controlled areas in Indonesia, according to a communique issued by the Security Council Good Offices Committee. The Dutch and Republican Army commands agreed to the completion of the evacuation by midnight last night. The evacuation was in accordance to the truce terms signed on January 17. The communique added that the parties agreed on the demilitarised zones, except in two place in Java. A sub-committee has been formed to review the situation there.
