GERMAN CAMPAIGN HISTORIES HELP ALLIED AUTHORITIES
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. Partially-completed German campaign histories captured by . the Allies would be of immense value to Allied war historians, said Major-General H. K. Kippenberger, the New Zealand war historian, who returned from an Anglo-American conference at Washington by air today. The conference, which was attended by American, British, and Dominion war historians, had been a success in every way, he said. There were many gaps in the New Zealand war. history which could be filled in only with material from United States records. It would be at least three years before the history of the New Zealand fighting forces was ready. . i . In some instances, he said, unit histories would be “out” before then. In fact, ' two had been completed already.
