“As soon as we are quite satisfied that the hotels are back to sixpence we shall make an announcement officially ending the boycott so far as those hotels are concerned,” said the secretary of the West Coast Trades Council, Mr T. Pratt, this afternoon. He added that a meeting would be held tonight to consider the position, and, as soon as the council had a clear view of the overall picture, it would make a statement. In the meantime, he said, in reply to a question, workers who entered a hotel which had been charging sevenpence, were quite free to do so as long as no more than sixpence was paid for 10 ounces.
