MINERS’ FEDERATION CONDEMNS ‘ANARCHY’ ON N.S.W. COALFIELDS

(Rec. 1.10 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Miners’ Federation has followed the lead of the Coal Tribunal (Mr F. H. Gallagher) by condemning the “prevailing anarchy” on the coalfields. The federation’s central council has decided to support the district management boards in any disciplinary action taken. A special meeting of the council of the combined mining unions tomorrow will discuss the position of the Federated Engine-drivers and Firemen’s Association in view of Mr Gallagher’s refusal to lift the suspension of its new award.
