Spanish Students Gaoled
A court-martial sentenced 14 students for trying to refound the Spanish Republican University Student Federation. Many of the sentences were twice as heavy as those the prosecution demanded. Two girls received two years’ imprisonment, and 12 youths received terms of up to eight years’ imprisonment. | Madrid, December 14.
