MANY AUSTRALIAN VISITORS EXPECTED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, Dec. 14. “New Zealand, with so much to offer, is the answer to the desire o£ Australians to travel. They will come all right when travel facilities get back to normal, and if New Zealand is ready for- them, there is. a very big opening indeed,” said Mr A. E. Rudder, a former chairman of Tasman Empire Airways, and a director of Qantas Airways, today. “Australians used to fill the ships for New. Zealand in the holiday season, and there is no reason why they should not come again, and in bigger numbers,” Mr Rudder said. “Travel to Britain and Europe is difficult now, and it will probably remain so for some time. Dollars are too hard to find for American or Canadian travel, and so New Zealand is the obvious choice of the Australian who wants to make a holiday outside his own country.”
