In contrast to Mr Attlee, \Vhose popularity showed a drop of 10 per cent, in the poll published last week, the last Gallup poll result published by the London News Chronicle shows that Mr Ernest Bevin’s record as Foreign Secretary is still approved by 55 .per cent of the public. The same proportion supported Mr Bevin when the last poll on his popularity was taken eight months ago. Only 20 per cent, said that they disapproved of Mr Bevin’s” record. The remainder refused to express an opinion.
