The following weather forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— Situation: An anti-cyclone is north of New Zealand; deep depressions are south of Tasmania and south-west of New Zealand. Forecast to 5 p.m. tomorrow: Winds, moderate to fresh northerlies; weather overcast; occasional rain, heavy at times in the south and in the ranges; otherwise light or moderate; temperatures becoming milder.
