Big Quantity of Opium Seized
uiy ~ ■ — r- — The Royal Canadian, Mounted Police seized 3731 b of opium, worth on illegal- markets more than 4,000,000 dollars, in the Dutch steamship Monoeras. It is the largest seizure of drugs ever made on the North American continent. The original source of the opium is believed to have been China. The opium is reported to have been concealed- in a winch. —Vancouver, Oct. 9.
