Woman Charged With Arson
Bridget Veronica Henty a domestic, aged 49, was charged at Wellington today before the Magistrate (Mr Goulding) that on or about September 14 she wilfully set fire to a dwelling house at 210, Nelson street, Hastings, thereby committing arson. The 'police asked that she be remanded to appear at Hastings on October 14. Counsel for the accused said she intended to defend the charge. She was a widow, residing in Wellington, and had her own home. The remand was granted with bail of £l5O and one surety Oi £l5O. — (P.A.) ■ —
