ARMED FORCES CUT
(Rec. 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, Sept. 24.
The defence committee . of the Cabinet and the armed forces, including Mr Ernest Bevin, Mr Isaacs, Mr Wilmot, and Field-Marshal Montgomery, today discussed the Government’s plans to curtail the armed services as part of the industrial manpower drive. No official statement was issued.
