Marsden, head of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, the Westland Progress League at its meeting last evening, offered its congratulations to him on his London appointment. He was thanked for the courteous assistance he at all times had given to the League with special reference to his arrangements with Lincoln College for the recent soil survey of this district.
