EIGHT CHURCHES TO HOED CONFERENCE ON FAITH AND ORDER

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. One hundred and eighty representatives of eight churches will attend a Faith and Order Conference of the National Council of Churches, which will open in Wellington on August 26. This conference equals in importance and succeeds the Conference on Life and Work held in Christchurch in 1945. The Rev. J. D. Growcott, Wellington representative of the council, said yesterday that the conference would be an effort to see how far the churches agreed or differed on the fundamentals of faith.
