University Students And Indonesian Case

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A statement on yesterday’s demonstration by Victoria College students was issued today by the executive of the College Students’ Association. The executive says it had no wish as a body to make any stalemerit tending either to support or not to support the demonstration, a section of the students. It wished, however, to point out that the pamphlet “Indonesia Calling” was not published by the association, but by an affiliated organisation, “The Socialist Club,” and that the club and not the association organised and conducted the demonstration. The statement added that . the Students’ Association comprised some 2300 members, possessing various opinions. It was one group from this membership which presented its»case to the public yesterday.
