J. FORCE DRAFT PREPARES TO LEAVE FOR JAPAN
(P.A.) AUCKLAND, This Day. While they were preparing to leave in the vessel Dunera tomorrow for Japan, J. Force troops were met by the Minister of Defence, Mr Jones, in an informal farewell at Pauakqra camp today. Mr Jones arrived in time for lunch and made the round of the barracks, speaking to the men. The draft, which totals 2000, will be embarked by early tomorrow afternoon.
