Wellington Waterside Band
The Wellington Waterside Silver Band will probably fly to Australia to compete at the band contests in Newcastle at part of the city’s sesquicentenary celebrations. The conductor (Mr R. H. Fenton) said tentative arrangements were for the -first section of the band to leave on September 9. Mr Fenton said indications were that the Wellington band would be the only competitor from New Zealand. —(P.A.)
