WELLINGTON MURDER CASE: TWELVE DETECTIVES ENGAGED
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, May 2. Twelve detectives are now engaged on’ the case of Francis Roy Wilkins, a garage proprietor aged 47, who was murdered and robbed on April 21. A number of persons known to the police as having records for crimes of violence have been questioned and more than one so questioned has consulted his solicitor. There is no suggestion, however, that these inquiries have disclosed a suspect. Taxi drivers who were on duty on the night of the murder have been asked to report anything they saw which might have a connection with the case. Other persons who have been closely questioned are men who have sat in at gambling schools with Wilkins. He had been a well-known habitue of these schools for a long time. ■
