AMERICAN ENVOYS TO RETURN TO WASHINGTON

WASHINGTON, March 16. The American Ambassadors to Greece and Turkey have been ordered to return to Washington for consultations. The envoys are Mr Edwin Wilson in Turkey and Mr Lincoln McVeagh in Greece. The Ambassadors will be joined by Mr Paul Porter, head of the United States economic mission to Greece, who is bringing a report on conditions there. The three will .consult with President Truman when he returns from vacation in Florida, and later will® appear before the Senate and House Foreign Affairs Committee, which will hold hearings on the President’s proposals.
