N.Z. EXPECTED T0 RATIFY BRETTON WOODS AGREEMENT
LONDON. March 17. The Economist says that Australia’s imminent ratification of the Bretton Woods Agreement will doubtless be followed by similar ratification by New Zealand. The Economist quotes a passage from the recent, annual report ot the Governor of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia which states: “Nothing is more'certain than that m this atomic world self-regardmg nationalism will be the surest road to destruction of all things that constitute national interest.” It comments that this very wise counsel is at last being heeded.
