The dispute which occurred at the Strongman State mine on Monday, as a result of which a day’s work was lost, has been the subject ox a statement by an official of the State Miners’ Union, Mr. J.. Harrington, check inspector, who claims that tne nature of the dispute was incorrectly reported. , Mr. Harrington stated that tne stoppage did not arise out of a disagreement as to payment, for P coal extraction in a section 0± trimine. “The stoppage was caused by a breach of the cavilling rules, said Mr. Harrington, “caused by the management, when refusing to find a pan of miners a place.
