MISCONDUCT AND IMMORALITY IN GERMANY SENTENCES IMPOSED LONDON, December 4. Two lieutenant-colonels and several minor officials have been arrested and some sentenced to imprisonment in a clean-up of misconduct and immorality among the American occupation troops which the Army, ordered following charges made by the United States Senate War Investigating Committee, says the Berlin correspondent of the Associated Press. A special judge-advocates’ court is investigating hundreds of charges against occupation troops ranging from large-scale black market operations to behaviour unbecoming to an officer. The Senate Committee's report listed hundreds of cases of blackmarketing and American soldiers consorting with frauleins. A special judge-advocate has been sent to Berlin in consequence of the committee’s report. The United. States Army has halted the policy of hating all Germans.
