Franco Objects to UNO Inquiry
(Rec. 2 p.m.) LONDON, May 29. Britain and America have received a Note from General Franco protesting about the inquiry by the United Nations with a view to action against his regime, says the Daily Telegraph. The main ground of the objection is that such intervention would come from a body constituted by an agreement to which he was not a party. General Franco said that Poland's charges do not impress him, “because I realise the Polish Government is not a free agent.”
