BLOHM VOSS YARDS
DESTRUCTION BY ROYAL NAVY (Rec. 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, May 29. The British occupation authorities have completed the destruction of the great Blohm Voos shipyards at Hamburg, where the battleship Bismarck and the liners Europa and Leviathan were built, says the British News Service in Germany. The yards, formerly Germany’s largest, employed 13,000 workers. Royal Navy demolition teams carried out the job.
