PERSIAN ASSURANCE TO AMERICA
(Rec. 11.15 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 23. The State Department announced Persia had given assurances that nd news dispatches to America had been censored and promised that American reporters will be notified if their stories are suppressed. Persia admitted that two dispatches to the London Times had been held up because “they contained fantastic stories and rumours prejudicial to the Throne.”
