Persian Gulf Base in Question
(Rec. 1 p.m.) LONDON, April 24. The British - protected Bahrein island, a strategic base in the Persian Gulf, is the latest problem in this area, says the Daily Mail’s Teheran correspondent. Left Wing pressmen at a conference with the Prime Minister of Persia, Ghavam Sultaneh, today demanded that Bahrein should become part of Persia. Ghavam Sultaneh replied that he was studying the question. It has been the main topic in the press in the last few days.
