NEW CONSTITUTION

REFERENDUM TO BE HELD IN FRANCE ELECTION IN JUNE (Rec. 11 a.m.) PARIS, March 19. The Cabinet has decided to hold at least by May 5 a national referendum on the new constitution which is at present being drafted by the Assembly. A general election will be held on or before June 2. If the constitution is approved by the referendum the general elections will establish a permanent government, but if it is not approved a new Constituent Assembly will be elected.
