WEATHER REPORT 9 a.m.: Barometer, 1021.5; thermometer, 55; wind, gentle easterly breeze; sky, blue and cloudy; river, normal; bar, slight swell; rainfall, nil (the total rainfall to date this year is 114.39 incites). The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 25ft 4in. WEATHER FORECAST. The following is the district forecast, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day: — Situation: An anti-cyclone is over New Zealand. A low pressure trough is advancing towards the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. Tuesday: Northeasterly winds, light to moderate at first, but freshening later to-morrow. Weather: Fair to cloudy at first, but scattered rain developing in South Westland to-night and' becoming more general to-morrowr "Temperatures rather mild. Further outlook: A period of heavy rain on Tuesday night, then improving.
