(The total rainfall to date this year is now 113.36 inches). The depth on the bar at high water yesterday was 25ft. WEATHER FORECAST. The following is the district forecast, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, to-day: — Situation: A depression is developing east of the South Island. A cold front is crossing the North Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. Thursday: Moderate to fresh south-westerly winds, decreasing to-morrow. . Weather cloudy with scattered passing showers, but becoming fair to-morrow. Temperatures cold. Further outlook: Fair to cloudy and cool,
