RAYNER DEFEATS UNDERWOOD. WANGANUI, October 3. C Rayner beat Ernie Underwood on points in a 12-round contest tonight. There was a large attendance. The loser lacked Rayner’s agility and ringcraft, but gamely saw the full distance out against a tough campaigner.

Morrisey 5.7 defeated R. Richardson 5.6; S. Eathorne 5,10 defeated M. Rahger 5.10; RCoutts 4.0 drew with I. Inglis 4.2; T. Breynah 8.13 defeated A. Batey 8.9; J 801 l 7.4 defeated G. Curtain 7.6; W. Howell 5.4 defeated R. McPherson 5.0; J. Bell 7.4 defeated I. King 7.1; J. Munden 9.12 drew with M. Eder 9.5; J. Boddy defeated G. Curtis. Medals were won by .the following: 4st Brian Curtain; sst.
