ATHLETICS. A F.' Dockery, a young runner with much more racing experience than the average boy of his age, was the outstanding performer at the Christchurch Boys’ High School annual sports meeting yesterday. He won the open championship with clearcut wins in the 220 yards, 4'40 yards, and 880 yards, and was second in the 100 yards’championship. He showed himself to be the greatest runner insprints and middle distances ever produced at a school that has been noted for its athletes. The track was in good order and a light north-west wind assisted rather than hampered Dockery in his run over 440 yards, which distance he was timed to do in 52sec. This broke the school record of 52 4-5 secs. In the 220 yards Dockery recorded 23sec, and this time equalled the record made by D. R. Batten last year. CRICKET West Coast v. Ashburton, on Easter Saturday and Easter Monday, at Ashburton: Thomas. Westwood. Duffield, Meates, Barlow, A. Knanp, Frew, Westwood, Bayley, Gilbert, J. Knowles. Fixtures for Sunday are: Cobden v. Brunner .at Brunner; Marist v. United, at Recreation Ground. ■
