Sapper F. H. Stanton left, this morning, for Christchurch where his marriage to Miss Ann McFarlane, of Amberley, will take place at St. Luke’s Church on Saturday.

The early departure of the Prime Minister (Mr. Fraser) for London, where he will attend the British Commonwealth conference as a prelude to the San Francisco world conference on security, is expected.

The death occurred at Hokitika this morning of Mrs. Susanna Moore, a native of Ballyhaise, County Cavan, Ireland, and a resident of Hokitika for 67 years. Deceased arrived in New Zealand on the “Ivanhoe” in 1861, and at Hokitika had been connected with the Presbyterian Church for many years. Her husband predeceased her in 1898. A fall a fortnight ago, hastened her death. She is survived by three daughters, Mesdames Doreen and Boyd (Hokitika) and E. Partridge (Dunedin) and fwo sons, Dr. J. F. C. Moore (Greymouth) and Mr. W. Moore (New Plymouth). There are five grand children and one great grand child. The funeral will take place at Hokitika to-morrow morning.
