WEDDING

NELSON—WINGHAM

The wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, Greymouth, yesterday afternoon, of Monica, daughter of Mrs and the late Mr J. D. Wingham, Greymouth, to Russell William, eldest son of Mr and Mrs A. Nelson, also of Greymouth. Rev. Father Flaherty officiated. ■ , The bride, who was escorted oy her brother, Alan, wore a frock of ice blue, with unpressed pleats falling across the bodice, and hat ano shoes to .tone. She carried a sheaf of Christmas lilies. Mrs C. Holland and Miss Pat Wingham, sisters of the bride, were matron of honour and bridesmaid respectively. The latter wore a frock of teal blue, resine cut on slim lines with unpressed yoke., gored skirt tied at back with a sash, and hat ad shoes to tone. Mrs Holland wore a frock of lake blue with unpressed pleats running from shoulder to form pockets, with accessories to tone. They carried bouquets of Iceland poppies. Mr Cyril Nelson, brother of the bridegrom, was best man, and Aircraftman Cliff Holland was groomsman. . A reception was held at Herb. Moore’s, the guests being received, by Mrs Wingham, mother of -the bride, who wore a floral frock with clover background and trimmed with oid lace, and a black hat. Mrs Nelson, mother of the bridegrom, wore blacx crepe-de-chine with a pink yoke ana a black hat. She also wore a posy of red roses. Mr and Mrs Nelson left by the rail-car for Christchurch, the bride wearing a coat of cruiser grey over her frock, with accessories to tone.
