REEFTON, November 9.

Mr C. McElwee presided at the adjourned annual meeting of the Reefton Businessmen’s Association The statement of accounts showed a small credit balance. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr H. E. Rawstron; vice-president, Mr F. Boot; secretary-treasurer, Mr J. Delacca; committee: Mrs W. Malpass, Miss E. Barry, Messrs P. Dellaca, C. McElwee, W. H. King, AV. J. Duff, J. Patterson, C. Lawn, A. McElwee, S. C. Robinson. Members of the committee were appointed to wait on business houses regarding the activities of the association. The revival of a district Progress League Avas discussed, and it was decided to hold over further consideration. The question of again conducting a festivity week in Reefton for the Christmas perrod Avas held over.
