MATCHES FOR SATURDAY The West Coast Rugby Union decided last evening to conduct a tournament at Rugby Park on Saturday next, in aid of the grandstand funds. Matches were arranged as follow: — 1.30 p.m.: Relay races (seven men teams). 2 p.m.: Coaches v. Referees (referee, T. Mclntosh); 2.15: Dribbling competition (two men teams); 2.30: Place-kicking competition (one man); 3 p.m.: Married v. Single, No. 1 ground (R. Longstaff); No. 2 ground, Cobden v. Tech, thirds (Rev. E. O. Harding). The competitions will be for senior, third grade, fourth grade, and primary school players. The selectors were instructed to choose the West Coast team on Saturday next. The team will play Buller at Greymouth on. October 7. Teams for Saturday next are as follow:— Married: Gillan; C. Schroder, Keating, McDonald; Clancy, Nolan; M. Davidson; Pegley, Tomlinson, Cloak, Beardsley, R. King, Teen, Blair, Croudis. Emergencies: A. Smith, Tainui, Hagan, Davis. Single: J. Lindbom; Hayes, Wright, Millett; Amberger, Thomas; Horrack; Jones, Bradley, McKendry, Garforth, Glen, Watkin, Nelson, J. Smith. Emergencies: Sweetman, R. Nelson, Chapel. Webster.
