CALTEAUX-PATRICK MATCH SYDNEY, Sept. 13. The New Zealand welter and middleweight boxing champion, Vic. Calteaux, will meet the Australian welterweight champion, Vic. Patrick here on November 21. Calteaux’s fighting qualities have been highly praised. The bout is expected to attract a large crowd. Boxing has been booming in Sydney. It is expected Calteaux will arrive here about a fortnight before his bout with Patrick. The latter is a serviceman, who is Sydney’s fistic idol. BANTAM CHAMPION LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13. Manuel Ortiz, world bantamweight champion, knocked out Luis Castillo in the fourth round of a scheduled 15-round bout. It was Ortiz’s 11th successful defence of the title in the past two years. Each scaled 8 stone 6 pounds. GREYMOUTH TOURNAMENT Nine of Wellington’s leading amateur boxers, including four champions and two runners-up in the recent championships, willl meet selected boxers from the West Coast s amateur talent in a tournament at Greymouth on September 22. Special bouts will be those between D. Martin, 11.10, of Wellington, who was runner-up in the heavy-weight division, and N. Ross 11.9, of Greymouth; G. Bowman 11.2, Greymouth,,and E. Williams 11.8, of Wellington; and T. Parata, 11.8, junior light-heavy chamoion, of Wellington, v. J. Mundy, 11.7, of Greymouth. The visitors will be in charge of Billy Hedberg, Wellington's leading trainer.
