Yearling prices at _ Newmarket bloodstock sales to-day included 2800 guineas for a filly by Blue Peter out of Simnel, 2600gns, for a filly by Blue Peter out of Sparkle, 2500gns. for a colt by Donatello 11. out of Appian Way, 2400gns. for a colt by Blue Peter out of Rose Again. The Aga Khan’s filly by Solario out of Blandford mare sold for 3000gns. The best lots will enter the sale ring to-mor-row. His Majesty the King paid 4100 gns. for a bay fiily by the Aga Khan s Turkham from the French mare, Terrerose. It was the third highest price. The total of 92,170gn5. paid for the 123 lots sold, an average price of 749gns, is a wartime record. The highest price of the day was s,Boogns. for a filly by Solario from Silver Fox 11. The Aga Khan, six of whose yearlings sold for 10,920gn5., paid 4,600gn5. for a filly by Mieuxee from Dulce 11.

The “Daily Express” racing correspondent says that the filly for which 5800gns was paid was the tiniest in the sale, standing only 14.3 hands. Experts marvelled at the price.
