Flying Officer Cadwallader and Mrs. Cadwallader left this morning, on return, aftei’ visiting Mrs. Sneddon, Cobden.
Mrs. R. S. Johnstone (England), Mrs. W. H. Clayton and her son, Mr. W. Clayton (Hamilton) are the guests of Mr. H. W. Clifford, Chapel Street.
Cabled advice has been received by Mr. and Mrs. J. King, Marsden Road that their son Flight Sergeant W. R. King has received his commission as Pilot Officer.
The engagement is announced of Merle, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Rowe, Cobden, to Lance-Cor-poral James Stoop, third son of Mr. and Mrs. Stoop, Hokitika.
Rev. Brothers Tarcisius (Director) Egbert, Chanel, Victor, Cyril and Clarent, of the Marist Brothers’ School. Greymouth, left this morning, for Christchurch, for the . Marist Brothers’ annual retreat.
