The 12-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Murtha, of Reefton, suffered scalds on the face, hands and body, through the accidental upsetting of a pot of tea. The child was taken to the hospital for treatment, and then taken home. The injuries arcmore painful than serious. Mrs. F. Garth, of Otago, is visiting her daughter, Mrs. A. Mirim, Ikamatua. . . , Sister Mabel Taai'e, of the N.Z.A.N.S.. who is in the Middle East, was among those who sent broadcast messages to relations and friends in New Zealand.
