CRASHES IN AUSTRALIA. BRISBANE. February 15. Four men of the Royal Australian Air Force were killed when two service aircraft crashed near Brisbane. It is understood that the planes collided during exercises. The victims were two sergeant-pilots and two sergeants. Pilot Captain E. D. Crisp and coPilot Captain C. Bernard were killed when W ,R. Carpenter and Company’s Lockheed plane crashed a minute after taking off from the Cairns aerodrome yesterday. There were no passengers. FOUR TRAINEES KILLED MELBOURNE, Feb. 16. Four R.A.A.F. air crew trainees were killed when two training aircraft collided at a South Australian service flying-training school. The collision occurred soon after the takeoff, and both aircraft were destroyed.
