BOWLING. A general meeting of members of the Reefton Bowling Club was held at the pavilion. Mr C. J. Willis presided. The principal matter discussed was the necessity for procuring a power motor mower, and it was agreed that one be purchased. It was decided to play the Runanga Club for the Westland Breweries’ Cup in November, and commence the club competitions at an early date. BASKETBALL The Inangahua Basketball SubAssociation closed the 1941 season with a well attended dance, when the trophies for the season were presented to the winners! Association cup for weekly points competition: Old Girls’ A. runners up, Stars Barry Rose Bowl, Old Girls’ A. Crossman Cup, Reefton High School.

Dominion House Cup, Star Club. Mrs. Discaciati’s Cup for most improved player in High School Old Girls’ Club, Noel Bierwirth.
