BROKEN HILL "SYDNEY, July 26. The Broken Hill Proprietary Company, Ltd., has announced a net profit for the year ended May 31 of £963,279, which is £15,859 less than in the previous year. The company has allowed £1,050,000 for taxation, £996,881 for depreciation, and £456,330 for special depreciation of plant connected with war-time activities. Shareholders received a dividend of 7J per cent. BLACKBALL CREEK. The Blackball Creek dredge return last week was 40 ounces in 117 hours. STOCKS AND SHARES. CHRISTCHURCH, July 28.
