At the end of the fourth day’s play in the New Zealand fours bowls championship 44 teams secured the necessary six wins or more to put them into post-section play, in which each of them starts off afresh with two lives. Lawson (Sumner) 28-24. E. R. Moss (Karoro) defeated W. Merrin (Opawa) 30-19; lost to W. G. Wylie (Kaiapoi) 18-25. A. J. Green (Westport) lost to C. Rendle (Upper Hutt) 20-25; . lost to A. G. Spiers (St. Kilda) 19-20. F. White (Runanga) lost to J. J. Davis (Kaituna) 19-21; defeated J. Holgate (Mornington) 27-19. L. G. Mercer (Greymouth) defeated J. Watkins (Leith) 23-18; lost to R. Garth (Sydenham) 29-30. W. O’Neill (Runanga) lost to W. J. Caldwell (Maheno) 23-24; defeated T. Ferguson (Balmacewen) 28-15. G. Head (Westport) lost to T. E. Parry (Waimate) 26-27; lost to S.
