A warning that action would be taken .against persons who placed publicity pamphlets on the windscreens of motor-cars while they were parked in t;he main street has been given by Mr W. E. Nicholson, chief traffic inspector for the Hamilton Borough Council. . Mr Nicholson said that in some cases where advertising matter had been wedged in between the windscreen wiper and the windscreen, damage had been caused to he wiper. Apart from that, these tamphlets usually found their way on ,o the pavements and borough worknen had complained of the nuisance.
