SEQUEL TO PAKI CASE. [PER press association.] AUCKLAND, November 21. After an hour’s retirement the jury in the Okaihau case, in which Richard Marsh claimed £2522 damages from Norman Absolum, respecting the death of plaintiff’s wife after a collision with defendant’s car, which was being driven by a Maori, William Paki, found that Paki had no intention of using defendant’s car in such a way as to commit suicide, or te cause'injury to his son, and also that he did not intentionally drive the car into Mrs Marsh’s car. They found that the collision was due to Paki’s negligence, and assessed the damages suffered by plaintiff at £l6OO, and by bis two daughters at £75 each. Poth counsel moved for judgment. Mr Justice Fair reserved judgment until later.
