The Board of Trade returns are disturbing, despite the fact that im-ports-are well maintained, in the face of U-boat activities. Exports, however, show a staggering decline compared with last year, Re-exports are similarly affected. The “Manchester Guardian” considers that the figures provide the strongest possible argument for cutting clean through bureaucratic and other obstacles, which are now hampering exports.
