GREY CLUB EXECUTIVE At the first executive meeting for the ‘season of the Greymouth Amateui Athletic Club, there were present, Mr, M. McKechnie (chairman), Misses M. Kennedy and J. Turner, Messrs. J. Bluett. T. Harker, G. P. Kennedy, S. McDonnell and E. B. E.. Taylor (secretary). An apology was received from Mr. B. J. Paterson. The following officials were appointed for the season: —Time-keepers: Messrs. S. O’Neil and C. Egan; staiter: Mr. I. Steel; judges: Messrs. D. Wilson, J. Bluett, M. McKechnie, T. Ryan, H. S. Silcock; announcer: Mr. W. Wicks. The secretary reported that the club had purchased both men’s and women’s javelins, a senior and junior discus, and an electric announcer, and arrangements were being made to purchase a set of hui'dles. Mr. McDonnell said that a 440 yards grass track had been surveyed at Victoria Park and although as yet it was in a rough state, it had. the makings of a first-class track. It was left to Messrs. T. Ryan and E. Taylor to arrange for the preparation of the track. Mr. Kennedy reported that a firstclass jumping pit had been prepared, and had been filled with shavings. The secretary was instructed to request Messrs. A. Grogan and E. A. Bastings to again act as trainers. Official training nights were fixed as Mondays and Thursdays, at. Victoria Park, at 6.15 o’clock.
