REPORTED SUNK
GERMAN POCKET BATTLESHIP [BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN. —COPYRIGHT.] (Recd. Sept. 7, 1.15 p.m.) BASLE, Sept. 6. A radio broadcast heard here said that the German pocket-battleship Gneisenau was sunk by British raiding planes at Wilhelmshaven. It is not disclosed whether the broadcast referred to Monday’s Wilhelmshaven raid or a new one. A Paris report states that Sarnes, seen from Basle, are believed to be due to an explosion in the Zeppelin factory at Fnedrichshaven.
