WEDDING

£ RINALDI—CLARK. ' The wedding took place at St. 1 Stephen’s Anglican Church, Reefton. on Saturday afternoon, of Margaret i' (Rita), youngest daughter of Mr and 1 - Mrs W. S. Clark, Inangahua Junction, 5 and Richard John, younger son of Mr and Mrs J. Rinaldi, Christchurch. Rev. Mr Evans officiated, and Miss Panckhurst presided at the organ. The church had been decorated by friends of the bride. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of ivory embossed , chenille georgette cut on classical lines with medici neckline and' gathered corsage finished with a spray of [ orange blossom. The skirt was pan- , nelled at the back, forming a longtrain, and the tulle veil cascaded in . misty folds from a halo of pleated organdie and orange blossom buds, forming a second train. A sheaf of arum lilies was carried. The two bridesmaids and two flower-girls were gowned alike in ivory rustle taffetas. Miss Dorothy Watty, of Napier (cousin of the bride), and Miss Elizabeth Bruce, of Greymouth, wore frocks fashioned on Empire lines with full skirts, stiffened puffed sleeves and slim-fitting waist-lines finished with an unusual corsage belt of ruched taffeta caught with liny velvet primroses. Dainty tulle veils caught to halos of white and yellow flowers, fell to the waist line, and long gloves and shower bouquets of lemon Spring flowers completed their toilettes. The two flower girls, Misses Margaret Jackson (Cobden) and Edna Whitehead (nieces of the bride) wore frocks cut on lines similar to that of the bride with butterfly sleeves, full skirts and medici necklines and with sashes of white. Halos of pleated tulle edged with white rosebuds were worn, and they carried Victorian posies. On leaving the church the bride was presented with a silver horseshoe by little Dorothy Whitehead. Mr W. J. Clark was best man and Mr A. J. Clark was groomsman. The bride was piped from the church by Mr A. Bedford. The reception was held at the residence of the bride’s parents, Inangahua Junction. The three-tiered wedding cake had been iced and decorated by Mr and Mrs Archie Manderson, of Christchurch, cousins of bride. Mrs f W. S. Clark received the guests wearing a smart brown ensemble relieved with pink. A smart French straw hat was worn and she carried a posy of ccarlet ranunculi. Assisting her was Mrs S. Whitehead, wearing a frock of woodland green crepe with matching hat. When the bridal couple left on a tour of the North Island the bride < was wearing a navy model frock with gold trimmings under a musquash fur coat, a navy peach bloom felt hat with veil and matching accessories. Their home will be in Christchurch.
