Wills (Conservative) 18,354. Majority for Brooke 2828. COTTON INDUSTRY, RUGBY, March 9. The President of the Board of Trade announced in the Commons the Government’s decision to proceed with a bill embodying proposals for the reorganisation of the cotton industry, and for a joint committee of cotton trade organisations, a draft of which was the subject of a recent ballot in the industry. The bill, which will follow closely the draft published last year, will be introduced in the House of Commons next week.

FLYING-BOAT DAMAGED. SINGAPORE, March 10. The east-bound Empire flying-boat Carpentaria was rammed by a junk in the Bangkok River. The damage is not serious. The mails and passengers will arrive at Singapore tomorrow, where another machine is waiting.
