REEFTON, November 15
Rev. C. Dickens, of Wesley Church, left for Blenheim to attend the annual district Synod of the Methodist Church.
Advice was received in Reef ton of the death at Hastings of Mr Edward Robson, who was well known in the Inangahua. district and in the Grey Valley. • Deceased, who was a native of Scotland and an engineer, worked as a young man "’bn a number of dredges in the Grey Valley and afterwards was in business in Reefton as a cycle dealer. He left Reefton some 20 years ago for thq North Island. He is survived by a widow and one son and two daughters.
The Inangahua Silver Band played an enjoyable one and a-half hours’ programme at the Hospital on Sunday afternoon, and the music was much appreciated by patients. Conductor A. E. Elliston wielded the baton. The band paraded for the first time, in a new blazer, in dark bine, with monogram, piped with lemon.
